Photographic Art - "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words"
The photographs that I create stem from a life-long visual pursuit to understand the world around me from two near-death combat experiences during the Vietnam War. In this effort, I look to make images that question interpretation from the abstract to the realistic to draw viewers into the image. With few exceptions, the photographs are made in-camera as philosophical interpretations, or emotional reflections, or present questions about life through a visual media. I prefer to let each photograph stand on its own intentionally minimizing the description allowing the viewer to ponder the image to determine what it means or feels to them. Fundamentally, the photographs I take represent an internal psychology of exploration about what it means to live.
